Set Up Your Password
Once you have your logon information, you will want to do the following:
- Go the Apple or Play Store to access the mobile app on your Smart phone and/or tablet. Search for Living As A Leader and download the app. You will need your username and password to access it the first time. You may also access the eLearning platform from the mobile app. However, the interactivity is not conducive to being completed on a mobile device. In addition, visibility is not optimum. You may want to use a tablet, laptop or desktop computer when taking the eLearning courses.
- Click the eLearning Courses button below to access the eLearning courses. You will enter the same username and password that you do for the mobile app and then be directed to the MY LEARNING page which is where you will find the eLearning courses available to you. The eleven courses will be included in the Virtual Leadership Development Series. Please start with the first course The Seven Most Common Mistakes Leaders Make. This is a foundational course with three key leadership models and the common mistakes leaders make along with strategies to overcome them.
Go to the Resources tab and download the workbook. The workbook and eLearning are used in tandem. The workbook is in a PDF format with fillable fields for you to enter your answers, notes, etc. Each course will take 30-45 minutes to complete and will be followed up by a 10-question quiz. You must receive a score of 80% to pass and you may take the quiz as many times as you’d like.
You will notice at the end of each workbook a section called Application Activities. The expectation is that you will complete these activities prior to your coaching session. You should plan to have your coaching session about two weeks after you complete the eLearning course so that you have time to do the Application Activities. The Application Activities are designed for you to apply what you’ve learned.
- Return to the menu and choose Tell Us About You to complete a short survey about you and your leadership background. This information will be provided to your leadership coach.
- You are welcome to take the first eLearning course at this time or wait until your coach has contacted you. It is entirely up to you!
Thank you!
We would appreciate it if you would take a brief survey to share some information about you and your leadership background. This information will be made available to your leadership coach. Please complete the survey prior to taking your first eLearning course. To access the survey, click here.

Take the DISC Assessment
What is DISC? DISC is an assessment tool that provides a universal language of observable human behavior, essentially “how you do what you do.” A person’s behavioral style or “DISC” style is not a good or bad, right or wrong: it simply provides an understanding of you might interact with others. There are four behavioral styles within the DISC model:
- Dominance
- Steadiness
- Influence
- Compliance
Benefits of DISC:
- Identify your style
- Understand how others perceive your style
- Identify, understand and appreciate people who have a different style
- Provide a process to communicate with different styles
